Kenfilt in the tube manufacturing industry

Commissioning of a hydraulic vacuum filtration central of 2,500 l/min of synthetic solution for a major European tube manufacturer, with analogue sensors, touch screen control and remote access.

In March 2024 Kenfilt commissioned a hydraulic vacuum filtration central for 2,500 l/min of synthetic solution at a major European tube manufacturer. The equipment incorporates the latest advances in analogue sensors and remote control to maximize efficient and environmentally friendly operation.

The central is equipped with sensors that monitor all the control elements of the installation, displayed at all times on the touch screen.

With a simple glance at the interactive synoptic diagram, the user knows the status of the central and whether action is needed to improve its operation.

The touch screen displays the levels of all tanks, the pressure and distribution flow, the temperature or paper consumption, among other data. Everything is controlled from the screen itself or remotely.

All control sensors have Bluetooth communication for configuration or status review under secure and configurable access.

The installation also features frequency converters to reduce electrical consumption and a safety operating control. The system can work with a PID or through the installed radar level, regulating the rotational speed of the pumps.

At the customer's request, the PLC programme and screen were modified to adapt them to their requirements. The adaptations were made jointly with the maintenance department to ensure good synchronization in the use of the installation without increasing the learning curve that any new equipment entails.
